Who Makes The Best Variable Frequency Drive?

That’s what this question turned into! Originally pointed to me from Andres Gorenberg on LinkedIn, we asked about low voltage VFD’s, but this turned into a question of who makes the best VFD’s in general.

I asked to get technical and you all answered!

Over the course of almost 30,00 views, 618 votes, and 179 comments you answered!

We should mention up front that there are MANY different VFD’s to choose from and I could only pick 3, and those were 3 of the 4 suggestions. We certainly left many large company out of the loop and one day when we can have a dozen options, we will re-do the poll.

Siemens        33%

Other              29%

Danfoss          20%

Schneider       17%

As anyone that knows me, knows that I don’t spend a lot of time working hands-on with VFD’s. I’ve used some Rockwell PowerFlex, and some Danfoss in the past.

We talked about there being many options, and as long as you purchase a reputable, it’s hard to go wrong.

Huge shout out to everyone who participated. Thank you all very much!
